HELP AFTER CLEANUP AND DRYING

One step at a time
in DeLand.

After storm cleanup, it may not be clear which walls need a repair and which need replacement. We’re here to help with that drywall conversation in DeLand and the surrounding area, with work planned after cleanup and drying.

YOUR PROJECT, YOUR NEXT STEP

Start with the questions you have.

You do not need to choose a repair method before calling Mike. Tell him about the affected rooms, any material already removed and the work still underway. He can discuss the drywall scope and what further assessment may be needed.

We handle all kinds of drywall work—hanging, taping, smooth finishing, wall and ceiling repairs, replacement, texture matching and remodels. Small repairs are welcome.

You do not have to decide repair versus replacement yourself

The condition of the drywall and adjoining surfaces helps determine the work involved. Some projects need a replacement section; others involve more extensive hanging and finishing. Describing the situation is a useful first step.

If a cleanup provider has already opened a wall or removed material, share that information with Mike. There is no need to guess a sheet count or diagnose the damage yourself.

Leave the right time for the earlier stages

Before rebuilding, the water source must be addressed and cleanup, necessary drying and any required remediation completed. We help with drywall installation, repairs and finishing after those stages; we do not provide water removal, leak repair or mold assessment and remediation.

Tell Mike about anyone coordinating the cleanup or other trades. That helps separate the drywall tasks from work that needs to happen first.

Keep the finish you want in view

If much of the room is staying, talk about the existing texture and your plans for painting. The repair should be considered alongside the surfaces you want to retain, not as an isolated opening.

Mike can discuss smooth finishing, texture matching and any agreed priming or painting. Small repairs are welcome, and ordinary drywall installation or remodel work can be included in the same conversation.

Questions about your DeLand project

Can I ask about one wall rather than a whole-room project?

Yes. Explain the affected area and the work already completed. We welcome small repairs as well as larger drywall replacement projects.

What if I do not know whether drying is finished?

Raise that with the provider responsible for drying or assessment before rebuilding. You can still talk with Mike about future drywall work, but a surface looking dry does not establish that it is ready to close.

Can the replacement area keep the existing texture?

We handle texture matching as well as smooth finishing. Mike can discuss the surrounding surface and paint plan to determine the proposed finishing approach.
