I DO DRYWALL · SMALL REPAIRS WELCOME
Water-damaged drywall. Replaced and finished.
Left with damaged drywall after a leak? We replace affected wall and ceiling sections and handle the taping, finishing and texture work. Call Mike for an estimate on the drywall rebuilding after cleanup and drying.
I Do Drywall is the drywall brand of MS Painting and Drywall Inc. Mike handles estimates and the work.
Serving these Florida communities and the surrounding area: Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Orange City.
THE REPAIR SCOPE
We handle the drywall repair and finishing.
- Replacement of affected wall and ceiling drywall
- New board where damaged drywall has already been removed
- Taping and joint finishing where new board meets retained surfaces
- Smooth finishing or blending with the existing texture
BEFORE WORK BEGINS
Does water damage mean replacing the whole wall?
Not automatically. Mike assesses the drywall work and discusses whether a section repair or a larger replacement fits the condition and finish. Surface discoloration alone does not establish the condition behind the wall. New drywall follows source correction and necessary cleanup, drying and remediation; we do not cover an unresolved moisture problem.

Damaged drywall still in place
We handle the agreed drywall removal and replacement after the area is ready for rebuilding. Mike discusses which sections need attention and the intended finish. You do not need to cut into the wall or decide how much board to replace before calling.
Lower wall sections already removed
When cleanup has left the bottom of a wall open, we install replacement drywall, tape the new joints and finish the transition to the retained wall. The work includes the agreed smooth finish or texture blending—not just filling the opening with board.
Ceilings or several rooms affected
We handle wall and ceiling drywall within one agreed repair scope, including different finishes across the affected areas. Mike discusses the work room by room so the estimate identifies what will be replaced and finished.
We handle the drywall rebuilding
- Call Mike with your town and a short description of the damaged or already-opened areas. Small repairs are welcome.
- Mike discusses the drywall scope, finish, availability and any assessment needed for an estimate. If other providers are still working, he can discuss the future repair before the area is ready.
- Once source correction, necessary cleanup, drying, remediation and any required trade work or inspections are complete, we perform the agreed drywall replacement and finishing.
Replacement board is only part of the job
We tape and finish the joints and blend the agreed texture where replacement drywall meets the existing surface. Mike also discusses priming and painting, which are included where agreed. Existing paint, sheen and lighting affect the appearance of a repaired area. Baseboards, cabinets, fixtures and other non-drywall work are clarified in the scope rather than assumed to be included.
We also offer texture matching for repaired and replacement drywall.

Questions before you book
Do you fix the leak or provide water extraction and mold removal?
Our service here is drywall replacement and finishing. Leak repair, water extraction, mold assessment and remediation belong with the appropriate providers. Those issues must be addressed before drywall rebuilding; this is not an emergency cleanup service.
Can you replace drywall that a cleanup company already removed?
Yes. We install and finish replacement board in areas that are ready for rebuilding. The scope includes the joints and agreed texture where the new drywall meets retained surfaces. Any necessary trade access or inspections must be resolved before closure.
Can I call while drying or other work is still underway?
Yes. Mike can discuss the future drywall job and what is needed for an estimate. A call does not mean the area is ready to close; the start depends on readiness, the agreed scope and availability.
Can the damaged area simply be painted?
A surface stain and damaged drywall are not the same repair. Mike can discuss the drywall condition and the appropriate repair scope after the moisture issue is addressed. Paint does not replace necessary board repair, drying or remediation.
Are painting and baseboard work included?
Priming and painting can be discussed with Mike and included where agreed. Baseboard, cabinet, fixture and other non-drywall work also need explicit scope agreement; they are not automatically included in a drywall estimate.
How long will the drywall repair take?
The affected area, number of rooms, finish and material drying times influence the schedule. Mike discusses timing for the actual job; neither one-visit completion nor a fixed start date is assumed.
