We handle all kinds of drywall work—hanging, taping, smooth finishing, wall and ceiling repairs, replacement, texture matching and remodels. Small repairs are welcome.
Texture is a finish over the prepared drywall, not a substitute for sound joints or aligned surfaces. If a repair sits proud or recessed, that condition needs to be part of the finishing conversation.
Tell Mike whether the board is newly hung, already patched or covered by an older repair. The starting surface helps determine the preparation before a pattern is applied.
Pattern scale, thickness and paint layers influence how a repaired area sits beside the original finish. A new section beside an opening or ceiling edge may need a different approach from a patch in the middle of a wall.
Mention the lighting and any planned repainting. Texture matching and painting are connected decisions, but their scope should still be agreed separately in the estimate.
Describe what has been completed and the current surface condition. Mike can discuss whether further joint preparation is needed before texture work.
Say so before the estimate is settled. Blending a repair and preparing a broader surface for a different finish are different scopes; Mike can discuss the work your plan calls for.
